Designed by award-winning artist and sculptor Jim Shore for the Disney Traditions brand. Award-winning artist Jim Shore grew up in rural South Carolina. Son of passionate artist parents who gave him a love of traditional American folk art and its values. He was also inspired by his grandmother who made him appreciate the handicraft arts. Jim studied engineering and graduated in business. He supported his family as an engineer, honing his skills as a sculptor and painter in his spare time. He eventually started his own company, Designs Americana, to market his creations. In 2005 Jim Shore partnered with Disney and together they formed the "Disney Traditions" collection. From this successful partnership the artist derives great consumer recognition. Its unique design style applied to iconic Disney characters has made Disney Traditions one of the most successful co-branding collections.
